Jimmy Anton's Salsa Social is New York City's longest-running mambo social, hosted since 1993 by veteran DJ Jimmy Anton. It runs on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of each month from 6 to 10 PM at You Should Be Dancing studios on West 26th Street in Manhattan, drawing dancers of every level alongside many of the city's top instructors and performers. The night is pure classic salsa and mambo with a little cha-cha on a powerful sound system, a no-frills pure-dancing institution rather than a club night. Admission is paid at the door, with a small surcharge on nights featuring performances.
